Katy Taste Fest is almost here. The outdoor, family-friendly foot festival showcases the diversity of Katy’s dining scene. You won’t want to miss it. Here’s what you need to know about Katy Taste Fest 2017.
Kid-Friendly Play Opportunities
The outdoor food festival will feature a special kid’s zone where your kids can play to their heart’s content. There will be ongoing activities from 11am to 4pm, including two bounce houses and demos hosted by the Willowfork Fire Department.
Chef-Led Cooking Demos
Foodies won’t want to miss this! Watch the chefs from Oak Park Resort Lifestyle Community host cooking demonstrations, including a how-to about home pickling, how to make different types of salsas, making ceviche and cooking corn beer from start to finish.
Want to sample local restaurants, without a reservation? Taste Katy brings the area’s top talent to one place including Bernie’s Burger Bus, Whiskey Cake Katy, Babin’s Seafood House, Freebirds World Burrito, and more. Guests get to sample a variety of different offerings from the community’s restaurants. With tickets, guests can taste as many food items as they wish. Come hungry!
Try something sweet at the Confection Connection. Guests will have the chance to sample a range of sweets from local dessert makers, including candies, cookies, cakes and more.
Taste Katy is a proud supporter of the Armor of Hope Foundation, Helping Kids Ministry, Katy Cares and Krause Children’s Center. At the food festival there will be a silent auction that benefits all of these charities. Attendees can bid on mech and exclusive offers at the silent auction, or donate to the charities online or at the event.
